The Tjong A Fie Mansion and Museum opened to the public for the first time in June 2009. Since then, thousands of visitors from all over the world had been inspired by the story of Tjong A Fie, his work, and the mansion as his legacy.
The entry fees includes a guided tour of the mansion by our knowledgable staff. You can ask for an English or Indonesian speaking guide to accompany you on your tour.
The Mansion and Museum received the Trip Advisor Excellence award in 2014 and, in the same year, it was also voted as one of the top 10 places to visit in Indonesia alongside Candi Borobudur. We are honored to have received your support for our heritage landmark here in Medan.

Monday - Sunday 9AM - 5PM
(No entry after 4:30 PM)
Closed on Chinese New Year Day
To protect our treasured guests and staff, we will continue to follow strict health safety protocols when we reopen:
Temperature screenings for visitors will be taken prior to entry to the museum.
Guests who have symptoms of Covid-19 are not allowed entry.
Hand-sanitizing is required prior to entry
Masks are required for entry and must be worn correctly covering the nose and mouth during the entire time on site.
We ask that you maintain social distance of a minimum 1 m or 6 ft from other groups of visitors.
We limit the number of visitors inside the mansion. So you may have to wait prior to allowed entry.
